The Joe Beavers Horseshoe Health and Medicine Ozarks Got Singers radio show on 92.3 KSAR FM on Saturday mornings at 6:05am is approaching its third year on the air. What started as the Reeves Propane Ozarks Got Singers radio show has become a show that highlights various artists with ties to the Ozarks and Arkansas. “We try to show people that Arkansas and the Ozarks are steeped in a tremendous musical heritage. The show is in its infancy if you will,” says Beavers, the creator of the show. “I am proud of the attention Horseshoe Bend gets through the show.” With the addition of Ed Worthington (long-time radio and television veteran) the show is evolving into a major force during the 8am time slot in the region. The Joe Beavers Horseshoe Health and Medicine Ozarks Got Singers show is a mixture of local, regional and national talent most with Arkansas ties. Recently the radio show premiered “Where Country Boys Roam” the self-penned song from the winner of the Ozarks Got Singers competition (Waylon Collins) in Horseshoe Bend. Other artist such as, Narvel Felts, Ed Bruce, Bill Hoover, Gerry Moss and Dave Sharp have been and continue to be showcased on the show. “We have received a lot of great feedback from our listeners” says Beavers. “We are always looking for new talent. In the future, we will be showcasing some of the great bluegrass groups we have here in the state. People can get on the show by sending an email to joebeavers@centurylink.net requesting to be added to the show’s line-up.” We are especially proud of the support of our main sponsors: The Pacesetting Times and Horseshoe Health and Medicine. So, grab a cup of coffee Saturday morning at 6am because it is time for the Joe Beavers Horseshoe Health and Medicine Ozarks Got Singers radio show on 92.3 KSAR Hometown radio.
